I hand built this tray in my Charlotte, NC studio. It is carved and hand glazed. Giving Flowers for any Holiday with a new twist. The rim is bright glossy green. I enjoy carving and hand building. I think it’s the Industrial Designer in me. The back of this one has nice texture. I enjoy stamping so I can introduce color on the bottom. It’s fired to cone 5 or 6 in an electric kiln. I used food safe glazes. This could be a great cookie or bread server, be a catch all spot or just be a pretty to look at. My influences are Chinese and Mexican Folk Art. Can you tell? It’s approximately 12” X 5” X 1 1/2”
